Welcome to Tacniz, an industrial training platform developed by Zincat Technology ("we," "us," or "our"). Tacniz offers university students in the IT sector the opportunity to participate in real-world IT projects as part of their internship requirements for degree completion. By accessing or using Tacniz ("the Portal"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Portal.
Definitions
- Userrefers to any individual who accesses or uses the Portal, including students and supervisors.
- Studentrefers to a university or college student enrolled in an IT-related degree program who registers to participate in projects through Tacniz.
- Supervisorrefers to an industry professional who voluntarily guides students through their projects.
- Projectrefers to any IT-related task or assignment provided through Tacniz.
- Portalrefers to the Tacniz website and any related services offered by Zincat Technology.
Eligibility
- Age RequirementYou must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
- Educational RequirementStudents must be enrolled in a university or college pursuing an IT-related degree.
- Voluntary ParticipationSupervisors participate on a voluntary basis without any compensation.
Registration
- Registration ProcessStudents must complete the registration form on the Portal, providing accurate and complete information.
- Project SelectionStudents can choose to participate in group projects or individual projects.
- ApprovalAll registrations are subject to approval by Zincat Technology.
Services Provided
- Project AllocationWe manually allocate projects to students based on their skills, educational background, and preferences.
- SupervisionIndustry professionals volunteer as supervisors to guide students through their projects.
- CertificationUpon successful completion of the internship or project, students will receive a certificate from Zincat Technology.
User Obligations
- Students
- Accurate Information: Provide truthful and up-to-date information during registration and throughout your participation.
- Project Participation: Commit to completing the assigned projects diligently and ethically.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with supervisors and team members if participating in group projects.
- Compliance: Adhere to all policies, guidelines, and instructions provided by Zincat Technology and supervisors.
- Supervisors
- Guidance: Provide appropriate guidance and support to assigned students.
- Professional Conduct: Uphold professional standards and ethics in all interactions.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all project-related information.
Project Participation
- AssignmentProjects are assigned based on availability, student preference, and suitability.
- Group ProjectsStudents opting for group projects agree to collaborate effectively with team members.
- DeadlinesStudents are responsible for meeting all project deadlines and milestones.
- FeedbackSupervisors will provide feedback and evaluations to assist in student development.
Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
- Confidential Information
- Definition: All non-public information related to projects, including but not limited to project details, code, data, designs, methodologies, and proprietary materials.
- Non-Disclosure: Users must not disclose any confidential information to unauthorized individuals or entities without prior written consent from Zincat Technology.
- Duration: Confidentiality obligations remain in effect indefinitely, even after termination of participation.
- Intellectual Property Rights
- Ownership: All work produced during participation in Tacniz projects is the exclusive property of Zincat Technology.
- Assignment: By participating, students and supervisors assign all rights, titles, and interests in the project work to Zincat Technology.
- Use Restrictions: Users are prohibited from using, reproducing, distributing, or creating derivative works based on the project materials without explicit written consent from Zincat Technology.
- Prohibition of Unauthorized Commercialization
- No Unauthorized Sales: Projects or any derivative works cannot be sold, licensed, or otherwise commercialized without prior written consent from Zincat Technology.
- Notification Requirement: Any intention to commercialize project work must be communicated to and approved by Zincat Technology.
- Legal Remedies: Unauthorized commercialization may result in legal action, including claims for damages and injunctive relief.
Prohibited Conduct
Users agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities
- MisrepresentationProviding false or misleading information.
- Unauthorized AccessAttempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Portal or related systems.
- Violation of LawsEngaging in activities that violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- InfringementUsing the Portal to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others.
- HarassmentEngaging in harassing, threatening, or discriminatory behavior towards others.
Termination
- By Zincat Technology(We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access
to the
Portal at our discretion, without prior notice, for reasons including but not limited
to:)
- Breach of these Terms.
- Engagement in prohibited conduct.
- Legal or regulatory requirements.

- Effects of Termination
- Access Rights: Upon termination, your right to access the Portal will cease immediately.
- Obligations: Sections concerning confidentiality, intellectual property, and other provisions intended to survive termination will remain in effect.
Limitation of Liability
- Indirect DamagesZincat Technology shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Maximum LiabilityOur total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by the user to Zincat Technology, if any, in the six months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zincat Technology, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of:
- User's breach of these Terms.
- Violation of any law or rights of a third party.
- Unauthorized use or commercialization of project materials.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through negotiation in good faith. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Portal.
Changes become effective on the date indicated at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Portal after changes signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.
Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Zincat Technology regarding the use of the Portal. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
